If you prefer your bed closer to waist height, you might find it on the short side. This is not a king sized bed. It is an American Queen. If you are looking for a king sized bed, get one that's longer than 5 ft. I'm 5ft. We thought we would have a huge bed and ended up with this. Both me and my Husband have back problems so when we purchased this bed, we did so hoping that it would help ease that pain. We were wrong. It has springs/coils. We can feel those springs/coils. We have been searching for another bed. The orange trim around the rim of this bed is pretty. The material used to make the bed is still in tact. No rips. Amazon deliverers put the bed in place for me so I didn't have to assemble anything. If you're in a tight and need a bed, this will do fine, I guess; depending on your need. But, I would include a gel/soft topper. Otherwise, I'd look for something else.
